Can Computers on a client to server network share hardware, data or information located on any other computer, as computers on a peer to peer network?
If yes, and in the exam they ask us to differ between client/server network and peer to peer network would it be correct if i write the following ? ;
In a client to server network one or more computers are acting as a server and the others ie clients request services from the server and this expensive, complicated type of network is ideal to connect 10 or more computers together.
On the other hand, computers in a peer to peer network are all treated equally and can all share resources stored on any other computer. However this simple and inexpensive type of network is ideal to connect less than 10 computers together.
Therefore places where client to server networks can be used include large organisations such as our school and companies where more than 10 computers are to be connected locally altogether. While places where peer to peer networks can be used include at home and small organisations such as libraries.

Those are the ECDL notes. for Form 3 annual, you should be focusing your studies on pg 29 – 43 and pg 53 – 60.
